Two ways a dog can make money on Instagram

22.11.2024
Someone does Instagram for their own entertainment and someone sees something more in Instagram. I belong to both groups. As a lagotto, I'm destined to be an exhibitionist, so I enjoy being on Instagram and I also realize that the time I spend helping others and making their day more beautiful is worth something.

If you can spend a few hours a week on Instagram, constantly taking pictures and uploading videos, you're simply "Instadog". You have two choices to make money on Instagram or you can get some free stuff every now and then.

Promotion of your own products

If you build an active community with your Instagram profile, you can use Instagram to sell your own products. From Instagram you can attract people to your shop or you can sell them online products - e-books, courses, subscriptions, etc. Your dog Instagram followers are people who eat, dress and have different hobbies, so you can associate your furry face with products that aren't just for dogs. Dog and car, dog and electronics, dog and fashion... Dog goes with almost everything. You don't just have to sell collars and kibble, or be a dog trainer.

Dogfluencer / ambassador

This is someone who can promote someone else's products or services and gets paid for it. Money or goods that he or she promotes. We're talking about dogfluencers who either have a lot of followers, a strong community, or simply fit the concept of a particular brand. Promoting products for merchandise is the most common form of working with us dogs, and most of the time it's with dog brands. For example: you get a collar and in return you post one video, two stories and tag the brand on Instagram.

I'm tempted to write here that I see few dogs on Instagram promoting anything other than dog products. It's a shame because any dog could sell pillows, socks, beds or any human food. It's just that the companies of these products are somehow afraid to work with us. But tell me, is there anything cuter than a beautiful dog with an expensive chain around its neck? Sunglasses on the muzzle? A dog behind the wheel of an expensive car? A dog in the king size bed of a 5 star hotel?

Is there anything you can't associate a dog with? I know that the dog has promoted Stolichnaya vodka, Victorinox knives, the Mini car and the fashion brand GAP. So, ladies and gentlemen. I'm announcing an attack on prejudice! Let's change the conservative habits of companies that hire boring human influencers. Do you know the difference between a human influencer and a dogfluencer? A dogfluencer has no political opinion and never gets drunk at a company party.

Well, how do you get clients when you want to become a dogfluencer?

You have to impress. Take a look at your profile and answer the question if you would interest someone in the marketing department of a company. If not, read all my blogs in this section again and get to work. If so, find the marketing contact at the company you want to work with and email them. Nine firms will turn you down but a tenth will agree to work with you. Believe in yourself and honestly do what you have learned here.
